In recent years, the request for entries to the competition has been poor. So much so, that it has had to be cancelled recently. We believe this is due in part to the financial austerity measures that have existed since 2008. Accordingly the committee have agreed that we will suspend this feature until there is evidence of more activity in the architectural businesses and/or restoration projects. It is hoped that the “City Deal” will generate new work in the near future and if so, the Trust will restart the competition.

Every second year the Trust runs a competition covering architecture within the Stirling Council district. This alternates between awards for the conservation and adaptation of old buildings and the construction of new ones. The Trust is delighted to be supported by Stirling Council and Stirling City Heritage Trust in this endeavour.
Here’s the winners over the years.
This year’s competition covers both New Build and Restoration and entries close on Tuesday 14th June. Entry forms and conditions of entry can be obtained from Jack Sutherland, 01786 870699 or Johnny Cuthbert, 01786 879347.
